The Coastal Corridor Alliance strives to be a resource–or clearinghouse–for various planning efforts and background information on the lands and waters in our geography. From press releases to plans and articles, we are building a digital library of content.
This section is being built out and should have more information shortly! Watch for more details soon!
In the meantime, use our Digital Asset Manager to find documents related to the proposed Newport Banning Ranch development.
Coastal Corridor Alliance supporters can subscribe to our e-newsletter which provides relevant, timely, and important information about the Alliance, its work, and the volunteer opportunities.

A General Plan is considered the blueprint for where, what type, and the intensity of uses in a jurisdiction. Saving land from development generally starts with policies. That’s why CCA has been involved in participating in the public processes surrounding the General Plan development. The County of Orange and Cities of Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach all have General Plans. These plans have required elements, including:
- Land Use
- Open Space
- Environmental Justice
- Air Quality
Learn more about these requirement elements in the Office of Planning and Research website.

- Development Agreements
- Facilities Plans
- Affordable Housing Implementation Plans
- Fiscal Analysis
- Environmental Review Documents
- Meeting Staff Reports, Agendas, and Minutes
