General Plans

A General Plan is considered the blueprint for where, what type, and the intensity of uses in a jurisdiction. Saving land from development generally starts with policies. That’s why CCA has been involved in participating in the public processes surrounding the General Plan development. The County of Orange and Cities of Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach all have General Plans. These plans have required elements, including:

Land Use
Circulation
Housing
Conservation
Open Space
Noise
Safety
Environmental Justice
Air Quality

When developments are proposed numerous documents are processed through the entitlement process. These documents can include:
