Semeniuk Slough

The Semeniuk Slough includes 88 acres of wetlands managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The wetlands were purchased in 1998 from the owners of Banning Ranch as mitigation for a project that degraded habitat in the Santa Ana River Flood Control Channel. The wetlands restoration project was completed in 1992. Considerable time and money has been invested to restore these wetlands with two muted tidal flow locations. The property is located in the City of Newport Beach adjacent to the Santa Ana River and Randall Preserve.
