Drew Peng

UCI Fellow

Drew spent most of her pre-college years in Alabama. Currently, she is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine, majoring in cognitive science with a particular interest in metacognition and neuropsychology. She joined the Coastal Corridor Alliance as a UCI Fellow to further cultivate her passion for service, community, and the environment that she developed in her early years. She also works as a center attendant for the UCI Housing Department and serves as the Intern Coordinator for the Taiwanese American Organization, an on-campus cultural club.

Why do you work in this field?

In her hometown, Drew was part of a community that taught her the importance of caring for and protecting the environment. In college, she expanded her understanding of sustainability and the significance of preserving the environment, not only for the current generation but for future ones as well. She hopes to continue nurturing this passion for the environment and education at the Coastal Corridor Alliance.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Outside of studying, Drew enjoys going for walks, traveling, and attending live music events. She also loves visiting coffee shops, spending time with friends, and watching TV shows. Some shows she’s been into recently are Attack on Titan, Crash Landing on You, and Arcane.

Lastly, what is your favorite outdoor activity?

Drew’s favorite outdoor activities include watching the sunrise and sunset, going for nature walks, and spending time at the beach. She also enjoys doing relaxing activities like bracelet making and picnicking in outdoors settings.
