Amber Schmaeling

Consultant

Amber Schmaeling serves as a consultant at the Coastal Corridor Alliance. She is originally from Santa Barbara, and now resides in the Charlotte metro area. She holds over 16 years of experience in marketing, loyalty strategy and customer experience management. Her roles have had a heavy emphasis in program design, technology solutions, implementation and operations optimization.

Why do you work in this field?

Being raised in California and seeing the amount of growth and development that has occurred over the past 40 years, really brings home the importance of the work that Coastal Corridor Alliance does. I’m honored to be able to put my skills to use for such a great cause. It’s really fulfilling to be able to spend some of my time and professional efforts towards CCA’s programs.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I’m really big on upcycling and sustainable / slow fashion. I love to hit up yard sales and thrift shops to find things that I can help give a 2nd life. I also really enjoy photography and international travel.

Lastly, what is your favorite outdoor activity?

That’s a tough one. It’s probably a toss up between full moon night hikes, or naps on the beach. There is nothing better than hearing the sound of the waves. It always takes me home and centers me.
